You gave me the greatest joy and the
Deepest sorrow, and I stand richer back

The National Association HEART PEACE is a non-profit organization based on volunteering, as well as benevolent partners and sponsors.

Background
The concept of HEART FRED started as a free, life-neutral memorial event on Halloween, after the inititle of artist Bjørg Thorhallsdottir who became a widow at the age of 30. Björg wished her two-year-old son, Tolli, to be with and remember his father in delight on All Saints.
The purpose of the event is to make it easier to talk about death and the painful, cheer the good memories of those we have lost, process the sorrow, and celebrate the love and the joy of life, and take better care of ourselves and each other.

The first year 500 was the Yellow house in Asker. Next year over 1000 to heartfred in Løkkehaven in Sandvika. In 2009 and 2010, it was according to several media outlets around 3500 people who overcame the heart peace in Sandvika. In addition, HEART PEACE was held in Kvinnherad, Fredrikstad and Stokkøya.

MEET A NEED OF THE POPULATION
The concept of HEART PEACE has been taken well in Bærum, where in 2011 we were assigned the status of the cultural lighthouse. We see that this meets a need people have, and that we achieve our goals to help build down taboos around theme grief and death, and make it easier to meet people who mourn, and for them to return to their daily lives after the shock of losing someone who stood a Near.

GREAT INTEREST FROM OTHER REGIONS
We experience great interest from the initiators of other cities and locations. Every year, HEART PEACE is held in many places in Norway and even more it will be.

WE NEED SUPPORT!
A prerequisite for being able to succeed with our growth plans is the allocation of financial support. We would love to get in touch with long-term national supporters and partners. Please feel free to contact us if there is interest in joining to support our work.
